DP capability is provided by a Kongsberg DP2 system, supporting controlled station keeping and vessel positioning during cable-laying, pipe-laying, ROV, burial and related subsea operations.
The cable-jointing facilities include a sealed workshop covering approximately 2,000 m², a dedicated jointing room of 130 m² and a testing room of 30 m². The equipment-hoisting entrance measures 3 m × 2 m, while RP storage is arranged through 44 × 3 storage tanks. These facilities support onboard cable preparation, jointing, testing, handling and protected storage during extended offshore installation campaigns.
The principal deck crane is rated at 80 t at 15 m, 60 t at 20 m and 20 t at 30 m. An additional 5 t marine crane provides a lifting capacity of 5 t at 15 m, including a personnel-handling rating of 1.5 t. The towing winch has a driving tension of 80 t and a constant-tension operating range of 10–80 t. Its operating performance includes 80 t at 25 m/min and 40 t at 50 m/min. Cable load capacity is stated as Ø 56 mm × 3,300 m.
The vessel incorporates two cable tanks, each with a capacity of 3,500 t, an OD of 19 m and an inner-core dia. of 3 m. Cable loading capacity within the tanks includes approximately 5,800 km of LW cable at 17 mm and approximately 680 km of DA cable at 39.4 mm. A separate carousel provides an additional capacity of 3,000 t, with an OD of 17 m, an inner-core dia. of 3.5 m and drive power supplied by five 75 kW units. The stated carousel cable capacity includes approximately 38 km of 3 × 800 mm², Ø 186 mm cable and approximately 750 km of Ø 70 mm cable.
Cable deployment and recovery operations are supported by a stern A-frame with a dynamic load rating of 800 kN and a static load rating of 1,200 kN. The A-frame provides a max. lifting height of 13 m, an inner width of 13 m, a max. outboard span of 15.5 m and a tilt/elevation range from +75° to −71.78°. The stern roller-sheave arrangement comprises two power-cable rollers, two umbilical-cable rollers and one towing-cable guide trough.
The CDE operates at selectable speeds of 60 m/min, 120 m/min and 180 m/min. It has a drum dia. of 4 m, a tension rating of 50 t, rated power of 350 kW and a cable dia. operating range of Ø 12–300 mm. The wheel-type LCE system provides operating performance of 210 kN at 60 m/min, 105 kN at 120 m/min and 52.5 kN at 180 m/min. It incorporates 21 pairs of wheels and accommodates cable dia. ranging from Ø 12 mm to Ø 300 mm.
An additional LCE arrangement provides operating performance of 10 kN at 60 m/min, 5 kN at 120 m/min and 2.5 kN at 180 m/min. The system can be configured with 2, 4, 5 or 6 pairs of wheels and is suitable for cable dia. ranging from Ø 12 mm to Ø 300 mm. Together, these cable engines provide controlled tensioning, paying out, recovery and transfer of multiple cable sizes during installation operations.
The vessel’s subsea spread includes a large work-class ROV rated at approximately 895 kW, with an operating depth of 3,000 m. Its stated capabilities include module assembly, PLIB operations, trenching and burial, together with underwater grasping capacity of 2 t.
