Port Terminal Morgan City, Louisiana

FACILITIES:   

1.  Docking Capacity
1200 foot waterfront can easily accommodate large vessels for topside repairs, offshore mobilizations/ demobilizations and loading/ discharging of breakbulk & containeraised cargoes. All heavy equipment is available on site including new 300T SWL crane. 24/7 security is provided on site including electronic cameras monitoring the port terminal, as per ISM/ ISPS regulations.

2.  Warehouse Facility
20,000 sq. ft. warehouse with security and sprinkler systems adjacent to rail.

3.  Cargo Storage
Large storage area and marshalling yard for containers, forest products, coated pipe, structural steel, and machinery.

4.  Rail Spur
The BNSF rail spur gives easy access to the U.S. and Union Pacific rail systems.

5.  Highway Access
Immediate access to the future corridor of I-49, presently four-lane Hwy 90. The Port is ideally situated 70 miles south of Baton Rouge, 70 miles east of Lafayette, and 90 miles southwest of New Orleans.

The Port of Morgan City is home to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Axe. U.S. Customs & Border Protection, U.S. Coast Guard Aids to Navigation, and U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit are also housed at the Port's 800 Youngs Road facility.
