The 225M Mobile Drilling Rig is a versatile and fully mobile unit designed for horizontal and directional drilling in demanding environments. Engineered for efficiency and reliability, it is capable of reaching depths of 3,500 m with 5’’ Drilling Pipe and 4,000 m with 4½’’ Drilling Pipe, making it well-suited for oil, gas, and geothermal well operations.
The rig is powered by a 1,260 HP (940 kW) system, ensuring optimal performance across various drilling applications. It features a 38 m mast height with a 6.7 m substructure, offering a maximum hook load capacity of 2,250 kN (505,820 lbs). The traveling system is configured as 5×6 (10 lines) with a 32 mm (1¼’’) DL. A 698.5 mm (27½’’) rotary table opening facilitates efficient drilling operations, complemented by a 2,250 kN traveling & hook block combo and a 2,250 kN swivel capacity for enhanced load management.
The rig is equipped with 2 x CAT C18 deck engines and 2 x Allison S6620AR automatic transmissions, providing seamless and robust performance. An optional 250 Ton – 400 HP top drive can be integrated for additional drilling capabilities.
Designed for operational flexibility, the rig can be configured with either a heavy-duty substructure, offering a higher setback capacity and an extended driller’s platform, or a slingshot substructure, allowing for faster erection and simplified mobilization. It features a double-drum configuration and is available in a carrier-mounted (fully mobile) setup. Additional enhancements include a BOP handling system, hydraulic catwalk, and proprietary solid-control-system automation, with optional winterization, tropical, or Gulf packages for operation in extreme conditions.
