The 120M Floating Dock is a state-of-the-art maritime structure designed to accommodate and service a variety of vessels. Measuring approximately 120 meters in length overall (LOA) and 110 meters in length between perpendiculars (LBP), this dock offers ample space for docking operations. It has a breadth of 34 meters on the outside and 28 meters on the inside, providing stability and capacity for various maritime needs.
The dock’s structural integrity is reinforced by its pontoon deck, which has a depth of 3.5 meters, and its top deck, which reaches a depth of 13.5 meters. Additionally, the safety deck is 10 meters deep, ensuring multiple layers of structural support. The maximum sinking draft of the dock is 9.5 meters, with a draft at light waterline (D.L.W.L) of 2.9 meters, allowing for significant submersion when required.
The floating dock boasts a lifting capacity of 5,000 tons, making it capable of handling large vessels for maintenance and repairs. Its water ballast system can hold up to 14,850 cubic meters, ensuring stability and balance during operations. Fuel oil capacity is set at 60 cubic meters, sufficient for extended use without frequent refueling.
Equipped with advanced machinery, the dock includes two windlasses and four mooring winches, enhancing its anchoring and mooring capabilities. The anchor system features two sets of stockless anchors for secure positioning. Power is provided by two Cummins generators, each delivering 650 HP at 1800 RPM, ensuring reliable energy supply for all onboard systems.
The dock’s pumping system includes four ballast pumps capable of handling 1200 cubic meters per hour and two general service (GS) fire pumps with a capacity of 500 cubic meters per hour. These systems ensure efficient water management and firefighting capabilities.
Additional features of the floating dock include a common battery telephone/public address system, a loading computer for operational management, and a valve remote control system for precise control of various functions. The dock is also equipped with an echo sounder for depth measurement and a CCTV system for enhanced security and monitoring.
