SOLD! The 3000 HP non-propelled shallow water drilling rig is a versatile offshore drilling and intervention asset specifically engineered for shallow water drilling campaigns, well intervention scopes, offshore workover activities, production support operations, and offshore field maintenance programs. Designed around a robust barge-mounted drilling configuration, the unit combines dependable drilling capability, upgraded mud processing systems, enhanced deck arrangements, and substantial onboard accommodation capacity, making the rig highly suitable for shallow water offshore drilling projects, workover campaigns, production enhancement programs, and offshore support operations.
The drilling unit is constructed on a heavy-duty hull measuring approximately 70.1 m LOA, with an approximate beam of 18.3 m and depth of approximately 5.5 m, incorporating a posted deck arrangement designed to support offshore drilling equipment, mud systems, crane operations, and offshore project logistics. The rig is configured to accommodate approximately 64 POB, supporting offshore drilling crews, technical personnel, project teams, and operational support staff during extended offshore campaigns.
Power generation is provided through 4 x Caterpillar D399 diesel power units driving approximately 1,030 kW generators, with two generator systems rebuilt, providing dependable onboard electrical power for drilling systems, mud circulation systems, accommodation services, deck machinery, and offshore operational support equipment. Power distribution is arranged through an IDS 5 x 5 generator control and SCR system, newly upgraded to improve drilling operational reliability, load management, and system control efficiency.
The drilling package incorporates 2 x Gardner Denver PZ-11 mud pumps, rebuilt and configured for maximum input ratings of approximately 1,600, supporting dependable drilling fluid circulation capability during offshore drilling and intervention operations. Additional pressure support capability is provided through an SPM 600 high-pressure workover pump designed to support well intervention and pressure pumping activities.
The drilling mast arrangement consists of a pyramid-type mast measuring approximately 47.8 m in height and 9.1 m in width, rated for approximately 750 Gross nominal, supporting offshore drilling and workover operations in shallow water environments. The drilling control system incorporates a rebuilt CAD 6-station Koomey package designed to provide reliable BOP control and drilling safety management capability during offshore drilling operations.
Mud processing capability is arranged through rebuilt Derrick shaker systems together with newly upgraded mud processing infrastructure throughout the rig. Major upgrades include a completely new rig floor, new pipe rack, new mud processing deck, new shaker deck, and new service piping systems installed throughout the unit, significantly enhancing drilling operational efficiency, workflow arrangement, maintenance accessibility, and overall offshore operational capability. A partial sack room arrangement is additionally incorporated to support drilling consumables storage and operational logistics.
The unit is outfitted with substantial deck lifting capability through multiple offshore cranes including 2 x Mariner 150-H cranes fitted with approximately 15.2 m booms together with 1 x Mariner 650-H crane fitted with approximately 30.5 m boom, supporting offshore cargo handling, drilling support operations, tubular handling, equipment transfers, and general offshore lifting activities. Rotary drilling capability is arranged through a newly installed 37.5 in rotary table complete with master bushing and bowls designed to support dependable drilling performance during offshore drilling and workover campaigns.
Bulk storage systems include 2 x 1,500 cubic ft bulk tanks fitted with new weight indicators supporting drilling bulk material handling and storage requirements during offshore operations. The rig additionally incorporates a Varco TDS package and National DW drilling system configuration supporting dependable drilling performance and offshore operational reliability.
The unit is offered as a non-propelled shallow water drilling rig; however, portable propulsion thruster systems and modular portable dynamic positioning systems can be installed upon request at the marine base facility in Louisiana. The modular portable DP system arrangement allows rapid conversion of the unit into a dynamically positioned offshore work vessel configuration suitable for upgraded offshore operational requirements. Portable DP solutions are available in multiple power ranges and can support DP-1, DP-2, or DP-3 operational configurations depending upon project requirements and class considerations.
The portable dynamic positioning system is designed as a modular deck-mounted azimuth thruster arrangement utilizing independent hydraulic power units and fully integrated DP control systems. This configuration allows dockside installation without drydocking or extensive structural modifications while significantly enhancing offshore maneuverability, station keeping capability, and operational flexibility for shallow water drilling and offshore support operations.
The overall configuration, upgraded drilling infrastructure, accommodation capacity, heavy-duty drilling systems, crane arrangements, and optional portable DP capability make the unit highly suitable for offshore shallow water drilling campaigns, workover operations, intervention programs, offshore production support, maintenance projects, and marine construction support activities throughout a broad range of offshore operating environments.
