The DP-1 OSV was built in 2001 by Bollinger Shipyards USA. The vessel is USA flag Jones Act compliant and classed USCG L ORV with DP1 notation.
The vessel has LOA 45.72 m breadth 10.97 m moulded depth 3.50 m light draft 2.59 m and loaded draft 3.04 m. Displacement is 386.07 LT with below deck capacity 520 LT. The main work deck has area 250.84 m² with dimensions 9.14 m x 27.43 m and strength 3.83 t/m². Tonnage is 360 LT.
Accommodation is provided for total 18 persons with crew 4 and passenger berths 14 together with mess for 12.
The main engine is Cummins KTA 38MO with BHP 1800 connected through MG5301 gears ratio 4.96:1 to wheels 72×57. Two generators 99 kW each are fitted on Cummins 6CTA. A mud generator 242 HP at 1750 RPM with Mission Magnum pump is installed. Bow thrusters are Twin Disk MG5091 with Cummins power. The vessel is equipped with DP IVCS2000-DP1 system.
Capacities are drill water pumpable 1200 BBLS potable water 14000 USG total fuel 28931 USG of which transferable fuel 13000 USG and running tanks 16502 USG. Discharge rates are drill water 625 USG/min at 150 ft potable water 380 USG/min at 100 ft fuel oil 360 USG/min at 100 ft and fire monitor 2400 USG/min at 380 ft.
Navigation and communication equipment includes DP IVCS2000-DP1 GPS C-Nav 1000 two Simrad MFD radars Furuno FS-1503 SSB VSAT system for internet e-mail and satellite phone two Standard Matrix GX-128 OS VHF autopilot IVCS 2000 Furuno LS-6100 depth recorder and Maptech Offshore Navigator charting program.
Performance includes maximum speed 10 kn at 90 USG/hr fuel conservation speed 8 kn at 65 USG/hr DP at 80 percent propulsion 60 USG/hr and generator consumption 60 USG/day.
