NOV ideal rig is a refurbished land drilling rig configured around a high capacity power and drawworks system designed for heavy duty drilling operations. the unit is equipped with a nov jc-50-d drawworks rated at 1,500 hp and configured for 1-3/8 in drill line capacity providing high line pull performance and stable load control through an integrated wichita 436 auxiliary brake system. the power package consists of (3) cat 3512 diesel engines each coupled to a 1,365 kw generator set delivering consistent electrical power output for drilling operations, auxiliary systems, and load management requirements across the rig package. emission and control integration is provided through a nov ross hill 1400 scr system designed for drilling fluid and power control optimization during operational load variations.
the overall system is configured as a self contained land based drilling package with electrical power distribution derived from multi unit generation, supporting full drawworks operation and auxiliary drilling systems. all major components are integrated for high torque, high load drilling environments with focus on reliability, modular maintenance access, and field serviceability.
