This DP 2 AHTS, built in 2013 and classed BV with dual CCS notation, is purpose-designed for offshore anchor handling, towing and supply operations, including ice-class service. The vessel has an LOA of 75.00 m, LBP of 66.00 m, beam of 16.80 m, depth to main deck of 7.80 m and max draft of 6.40 m, with GT of 2,831, NT of 849 and DWT of 2,500 t at 6.40 m draft. The free cargo deck area is 510 m² with deck strength rated at 10 t/m² and 5 t/m² and a max deck cargo capacity of 800 t, supported by a deck crane rated at 50 kN x 12 m and capacity for 8 reefer TEU.
The vessel is powered by 2 x MAN 9L32/44CR M/E delivering 2 x 5,040 kW, providing a BP of 181 t and a max speed of 12 kn, with econ speed of 9 kn. Fuel consumption is approx. 23–40 t/day at 12 kn, approx. 23 t/day at econ speed, approx. 30 t/day in DP mode and approx. 1.5 t/day in harbour, operating on MDO / LSMDO (MGO). Electrical power is provided by 2 x 450 kW aux eng, 1 x 90 kW emergency gen and 2 x 2,000 kW shaft gen.
Propulsion is via 2 Alfa CPP in nozzles, dia 3,500 mm at 174 rpm, assisted by 2 x bow thrusters of 1,010 kW each with thrust of 157 kN per unit and 2 x stern thrusters of 680 kW each with thrust of 106 kN per unit. The DP 2 system is Kongsberg, fitted with auto tracking, auto pilot and joystick control, supported by 2 DGPS, 1 Fanbeam, 3 gyro compasses and 3 wind sensors.
Tank capacities include FO of 1,511 m³, DW of 289 m³, drill water of 1,380 m³, liquid mud of 355 m³ and dry bulk of 170 m³, with discharging rates of 120 m³/h at 1 MPa for DW and FW, 150 m³/h at 1 MPa for FO, liquid mud pumps rated at 2 x 75 m³/h at 18 bar and a cement pump rated at 75 m³/h at 18 bar. Flow meters are fitted for FO, DW and FW.
The vessel is equipped with a Rolls-Royce SL300 / BSL300 AH / towing winch with 2 drums, offering a line pull of 300 t at 0–7 m/min and brake holding capacity of 400 t, with 3,000 m x 70 mm AH and towing wire capacity on each drum. Additional equipment includes 2 x tugger winches rated at 15 t, capstans rated at 2 x 10 t, a stern roller rated at 5,000 kN SWL and cable lifters for 58–102 mm wire. Towing pins are Karmøy rated at 3,000 kN SW and a shark jaw rated at 5,000 kN SWL, all W/H controlled.
Fire-fighting capability is FiFi 1, comprising 2 monitors of 1,200 m³/h each with total capacity of 2,400 m³/h, supplied by 2 pumps rated at 1,750 m³/h at 14.5 bar and supported by a deluge system rated at 600 m³/h. Accommodation is provided for 25 POB in 17 cabins, including 9 single and 8 double cabins, with hospital, offices, meeting room, mess rooms, galley, laundry and provision stores, with A/C throughout. Lifesaving and rescue equipment includes a rescue boat with electric davit, rescue zones on both sides and full navigation and communication outfit including radar, DGPS, ECDIS and AIS.
