This aluminium monohull fast multi-role vessel, designed and built in a Malaysian shipyard, is classed BV I HULL ● MACH, Crew Boat, Sea Area 3 and powered by 3 x Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines producing 1450 BHP @ 2300 rpm each, driving 3 x 5-blade Ni-Al-Bronze FP propellers, supported by a 100 HP electro-hydraulic bow thruster. The vessel achieves a max speed of 28 kn at 100% MCR and an economical speed of 26 kn at 85% MCR with a consumption of 765 L/hr.
Measuring 40.00 m LOA, 7.60 m breadth, 3.65 m depth, and 1.89 m loaded draft, it has 272 GRT / 81 NRT / 131 DWT, with a cargo deck providing 93 sqm clear deck area, 60 MT cargo capacity, and a deck strength of 2.0 MT/sqm. Passenger accommodation includes 70 pax economy class in a 2-3-2 configuration with 900 mm seat pitch, 2 LCD screens, and a chill-out lounge, with 2 toilets with showers. Below deck, crew quarters consist of 4 cabins with 10 bunks, toilet with shower, fitted mess and galley, utility spaces, laundry, cold storage, and workbench, including a crew LCD screens.
Tank capacities include 82,000 L fuel, 30,000 L fresh water, 500 L grey water, 600 L oily bilge, and 450 L each for lube, gear, and hydraulic oil, with 500 L fuel sludge. Electrical power is supplied via 3 x Caterpillar C4.4 prime movers / 86 ekW SR4 alternators, 415/220 V AC, 50 Hz 3-phase + 24 V DC, with shore power and reefer sockets.
Navigation and communication systems include GMDSS A1+A2, Sailor VHF 6222, MF/HF Sailor 6310, BNWAS LeGuardian2025, Simrad HALO-3 radar, Simrad P2005 GPS, P319 echo sounder, P3007 satellite compass, Riviera 6″ magnetic compass, JMC Navtex, Vingtor Zenitel PA/intercom, AIS Simrad V5035, 12 CCTV units, searchlights, EPIRB McMurdo E8, SART McMurdo S5A.
