This 1982-built inland asphalt barge is designed for Great Lakes service with ABS classification (A1 Oil Barge) and USCG certification for Grade D and E cargoes. The unit measures 94.49 m LOA, with a 18.29 m beam, 5.87 m depth, and a 4.76 m summer draft. Its 6,140 metric tons DWT (in saltwater) capacity is distributed across five coiled cargo tank pairs, enclosed within a double-skinned hull construction featuring a double chine bow, long rake stern, skegs, and a 25.0 m tug notch.
The barge features a flush deck insulated with 152 mm (6″) Pittsburgh Corning Foamglas, independent heater fuel tanks on deck, and a machinery space equipped for pumps, engines, and heating.
Cargo capacities include up to 6,198 m³ (39,000 bbls), with seasonal adjustments: 6,005 m³ (37,800 bbls) all year, 5,881 m³ (37,000 bbls) typical, and 6,042 m³ (38,000 bbls) in Great Lakes summer. The vapor-liquid phase heater is rated at 8,400,000 BTU/hr (≈2,460 kW) and delivers an outlet temperature of 188°C.
The cargo system includes:

The heating system is approved to operate continuously, even while underway, maintaining cargo at optimal discharge temperature.
Deck equipment includes:
* 1 stockless anchor (1,360 kg / 3,000 lb) with 219 m of 32 mm wire rope
* New England Trawler electro-hydraulic anchor winch, radio-controlled with up to 11 km (7 mi) drop range from the tug
* (1) Navy LST bow winch and (1) NETEC Model X-2139, both with 76 m of 22 mm wire
* 150 kW AC generator powered by John Deere engine
* John Deere 4-cylinder engine with Leroi air compressor, rated at 8.6 bar (125 PSI)
