The DP-1 Offshore Support & Aerospace/ Drone Recovery Vessel is a versatile platform designed for multi-role offshore special purpose operations, including aerial vehicle launch and recovery. Measuring 49.7 m LOA with a max draft of 2.97 m and a depth of 3.66 m, the vessel is classed by ABS Class with ✠A1, ✠AMS, Circle E, Subchapter I notations and holds a valid USCG COI. With a GT of 630 ITC and 99 GRT, and a displacement of approximately 613.3 LT, she is fully Jones Act compliant and suited for operations in U.S. and international waters.
Powered by twin CAT 3508 main engines delivering 850 BHP each through Twin Disc 6690 gearboxes at a ratio of 3.21:1, the vessel operates on a twin-screw propulsion system supported by a CAT C18-powered JB Verhaar Omega VB-1160 bow thruster rated at 545 HP. Electrical power is supplied by 2 x CAT C-series gensets rated at 175 kW each, 460 VAC, 3Φ.
She achieves a top speed of 11.5 kts and maintains a cruising speed of 9 kts, with a consumption of approx. 1,700 GPD, offering a cruising radius of 5,400 NM. Tank capacities include 184 m³ fuel, 35.6 m³ potable water, 280.8 m³ ballast, and 337.1 m³ mud.
The main deck has a structural rating of 540 psf and features a configurable layout. A 10 MT A-frame with a max hook height of 10.87 m is fitted aft, ideal for subsea operations or drone, seismic nodes, or ROV retrievals. This is ideal candidate for SAT/ Air Diving operations or Cable-lay scopes of work and she can conduct a wide range of offshore IMRs tasks. Additionally, the vessel includes two (2) moon-pools measuring Ø 0.58 m each, enhancing its utility in deployment and recovery missions. A helideck rated for 9 MT MTOW enables aerial support and UAV landing operations, positioning the vessel as a capable and self-contained support unit for offshore aerospace and highly advanced technical operations, or research scientific duties.
