This Offshore Utility Support Vessel, built in 2017 by Natah Shipyard Sdn Bhd, is classed by BV and complies with MLC 2006 IMDG standards. The vessel has an LOA of 40.000 m, a LBP of 37.223 m, a beam of 9.000 m, and a depth of 3.900 m. With a designed draft of 2.700 m, it has a GRT of 414 and NRT of 125. The clear main deck area is 90m², designed to carry a deck load of 3.0 t/m².
The vessel is powered by 2 x Yanmar 6AYM-WET main engines, each rated at 835hp @ 1450RPM, driving 2 x fixed-pitch propellers (RH & LH) through 2 x Yanmar YXH240L gearboxes with a ratio of 4.89:1. The total installed generator power includes 2 x Cummins 6BT5.9-D(M) units, each producing 80kW at 50Hz, along with 1 x Cummins QSB7-D(M) producing 150kW at 50Hz. The vessel is also equipped with a Nakashima electric-driven bow thruster and a Kings electro-hydraulic steering system.
Accommodation is provided for complement of 18 crew members and 12 special personnel, with 13 cabins offering 30 berths. Additional facilities include a cold room with 4m² for chilling and freezing. The vessel’s fuel capacity is 100m³, fresh water capacity is 100m³, and the fresh water ballast tank holds 85m³.
In terms of safety and navigation, the vessel is equipped with an array of communication and navigation systems, all SOLAS certified equipment (i.e. GMDSS A1+A2, a JRC JUE-95LT LRIT, VHF radios, GPS, an EPIRB, and a satellite comm’s). Life-saving equipment consists of certified life jackets, life buoys, an inflatable rescue boat, and 4 x 15-person inflatable liferafts. Firefighting systems include CO2 system with five cylinders and multiple Azcue pumps.
The vessel has a cruising speed of 10 knots and can operate in tropical zones with a trade limit between 30°N and 30°S. The endurance is 28 days, making it suitable for extended offshore support operations.
