The JU2000E Jack-up drilling rig is a sturdy offshore platform designed by F&G. It’s equipped with a powerful power system, including six main generators and an emergency backup. The rig stands on three lattice legs, each over 500 feet tall, with large spudcans for stability.
In operation, it can handle various capacities of diesel fuel, water, mud, and other drilling essentials. Accommodation is provided for up to 140 personnel in cabins. The drilling equipment includes a robust derrick base, hook load, top drive, and three mud pumps.
Its cantilever extends over 75 feet with a maximum offset of 115 feet. The jacking system, equipped with 54 pinions, can elevate the rig steadily. Safety equipment includes lifeboats, life rafts, and rescue craft.
The deck features cranes for lifting heavy loads, and there’s a helideck suitable for S-92 helicopters. For mooring, the rig is equipped with four winches with significant pulling capacity.
