HOS#614 | 116.14 m | CCS | 1,200 T Fully Rotational Crane Barge | For P&C Sale
This CCS-class full-turn floating crane barge is designed for heavy offshore and marine lifting operations, construction support, module installation, infrastructure development, salvage work, shipyard projects, and the handling of substantial industrial cargoes. The vessel has an LOA of 116.14 m, LWL of 115 m, breadth of 36.6 m, moulded depth of 7.6 m, and design draft of 5 m. Its substantial hull dimensions provide a broad and stable working platform suitable for demanding lifting operations and the transportation, staging, and handling of heavy equipment.
The vessel’s principal lifting system is a full-turn crane capable of undertaking fixed and slewing lifting operations. Maximum lifting capacity in fixed configuration is 1,200 t, while maximum lifting capacity during full-rotation operations is 800 t. The crane is rated for an SWL of 30 t at a working radius of 24 m and provides a maximum hook height of approximately 125 m above the waterline. This combination of lifting capacity, rotational capability, working radius, and hook elevation provides considerable operational flexibility for offshore construction, port development, marine civil engineering, heavy equipment installation, and project cargo operations.
The barge provides an available deck area of approximately 3,500 m², including approximately 1,200 m² of designated cargo deck area. The cargo deck has a total load capacity of 4,000 t and a permissible deck loading of 30 t/m². These deck characteristics allow the vessel to accommodate concentrated heavy loads, crane accessories, project equipment, fabricated structures, modules, machinery, containers, construction materials, and other mission-specific cargo. The large open working area also supports cargo preparation, equipment staging, rigging operations, and the temporary placement of lifted components.
Positioning and station-keeping are supported by 8 anchor-positioning winches. Each system is arranged for 52 mm mooring wire with an allowable rope length of 1,200 m and a rated operating speed of 12 m/min. The anchoring arrangement incorporates 8 Delta-type anchors, each weighing 9,500 kg. The multi-point anchoring configuration is suited to maintaining the barge’s working position during lifting, marine construction, and other stationary offshore operations.
The vessel is additionally equipped with 4 ship-shifting winches, including a 200 kN configuration. These winches use 38 mm wire with a capacity of 400 m and provide selectable anchoring speeds of 30 m/min, 15 m/min, and 6.9 m/min. The ship-shifting arrangement allows controlled adjustment of the barge’s position within the established mooring spread and assists with operational alignment during lifting and construction activities.
Electrical power is supplied by 3 auxiliary generator sets rated at 600 kW each, providing a combined installed auxiliary generating capacity of 1,800 kW. Emergency electrical power is supplied by 1 emergency generator set rated at 120 kW. This generating arrangement supports the vessel’s crane-related auxiliaries, deck equipment, accommodation services, lighting, communications, navigation equipment, pumping systems, and other onboard consumers, with an independent emergency source available for essential services.
Accommodation is provided for a total complement of 52 persons. The arrangement comprises 8 single-person cabins, 2 double-person cabins, and 10 four-person cabins. This capacity enables the barge to accommodate marine crew, crane personnel, riggers, technicians, project supervisors, and specialist offshore contractors during extended operations. The vessel also incorporates a 21 m² infirmary to support onboard medical and first-aid requirements.
Survival equipment includes 2 lifeboats, comprising 1 PS lifeboat with capacity for 36 persons and 1 SB lifeboat with capacity for 36 persons. The vessel is also provided with 4 life rafts, each having capacity for 24 persons, giving a combined life-raft capacity of 96 persons. This survival arrangement provides coverage for the vessel’s accommodated complement and supports marine emergency preparedness during offshore and coastal operations.
With its CCS classification, 1,200 t maximum fixed lifting capacity, 800 t full-rotation lifting capacity, extensive working deck, 4,000 t deck cargo capacity, 30 t/m² deck loading, 8-point anchor-positioning arrangement, and accommodation for 52 persons, the vessel represents a substantial heavy-lift marine asset. Its overall configuration is suitable for offshore construction support, platform and module installation, marine infrastructure projects, port and terminal development, bridge and structural works, equipment relocation, project cargo handling, and other operations requiring a stable floating crane platform with significant lifting and deck capabilities.
