This One of Two Sister Vessels is a Flat Top Ballastable Deck Barge is a non-self-propelled flush deck cargo barge built in 2005, designed for heavy deck cargo transport and offshore project support. The vessel measures LOA 100.61 m with a beam 30.48 m and depth 6.10 m, providing a large unobstructed cargo platform and excellent stability for heavy lifts and modular cargo operations. She has a GRT 4,814, NRT 1,441, and an approximate DWT 11,000 t, enabling substantial deck cargo capacity suitable for offshore structures, construction modules, and heavy equipment transport.
The barge features an expansive working deck with approximately 93 m × 28.05 m of clear deck area, engineered for heavy uniform loading up to approximately 3,000 lb / ft² (≈ 14.65 t / m²). Structural strength is supported by 7 transverse bulkheads, 3 longitudinal bulkheads, and 32 ballast compartments, allowing full ballast control for trim and stability adjustments during loading, transport, and offshore installation work. The structural framing arrangement includes longitudinal frame spacing of 0.55 m and transverse frame spacing of 1.83 m, providing significant deck strength and structural rigidity.
Additional operational features include 3.66 m high bow breakwaters with storm rails for improved sea protection, flush deck access ladders, recessed bollards, and chain “pigtail” type fendering with a triangular tow plate for towing operations. Salvage plugs in the manhole covers and fully ballastable tanks further enhance safety and operational flexibility, making the unit suitable for a wide range of heavy cargo transport, offshore construction support, and project logistics applications.
