Refurbished Kingpost Marine Crane, Series 60, Model 6024, Built USA, LOA 30.48 m tubular lattice boom with integral auxiliary line extension and optional bolt-on fast line extension. The boom is equipped with spring loaded boom stops, mechanical pendulum radius indicator, and a patented positive mechanical anti-two block system. Boom maintenance and work platforms include an 18″ walkway along the boom and a U-shaped tip platform for servicing sheaves, main block, auxiliary hook, boom lights, and SLI sensors.
The hoist package consists of main draw-works with 4 falls of galvanized wire, auxiliary draw-works with 1 fall, and luffing draw-works with 10 falls of 7/8” cable, all featuring hydraulic dynamic braking and spring-applied fail-safe drum brakes. Rigging includes a main block with rotating hook and spring-loaded positive latch, overhaul ball with swivel and stinger, and forged rim steel sheaves with tapered roller bearings.
The slew system is a dual pinion spur gear drive with bent-axis hydraulic motors, planetary speed reducers, manually operated parking brakes, dynamic braking, and a triple pinion slew guard. The hydraulic system features quadruple input, 1000 HP ground tooth pump drive, variable displacement pumps for hoist and luffing circuits at 135 gpm, 6,000 psi, 80 gpm pumps for slew and oil conditioning circuits, and 20 gpm, 600 psi pump for control circuits. A 316L SS hydraulic reservoir, air-to-oil heat exchanger, and high-pressure filtration complete the hydraulic system.
The diesel-hydraulic prime mover is a Caterpillar 3406 DITA, 500 bhp @ 2,100 rpm, EPA certified, capable of performing all primary crane motions simultaneously. The fully enclosed machinery room houses the prime mover, hydraulic pumps, filters, and reservoir, with acoustic insulation reducing operator noise to ~72 dBA.
The operator cabin is mounted on the right-hand side and features tempered safety glass, adjustable chair with joystick controls, AHC integration with MRU, a 240/1/60 VAC marine saltwater rated AC unit, emergency hydraulic shutdown, and master control disengage.
Electrical systems are rated for IEC Class I, Div 2, Group C&D hazardous locations and include boom and engine house lighting, cab lighting, strobe warning lights, 360° safe area collector ring with communication rings, and junction boxes for boom wiring. Walkways, ladders, platforms, railings, and toe boards comply with API Spec 2C, fifth edition.
The coating system is a three-coat (zinc, epoxy, urethane) application per OEM spec STDWPI-08, with OEM coatings retained on major buyout items. A full functional shop test is performed on the completed crane, and the refurbished warranty covers parts for 6 months from shipment, with labor and travel billed at standard US rates. OEM product warranties are assigned to the purchaser.
