This 2003-built double-hull LNG carrier, constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries, is purpose-built for safe and efficient transport of liquefied natural gas over long ocean-going routes. With an LOA of 278.852m and a moulded breadth of 42.6m, the vessel’s structure is optimized for high-capacity cargo operations while maintaining the structural integrity necessary for demanding marine environments.
The propulsion system features a robust Kawasaki steam turbine engine, specifically engineered for reliable long-haul performance, accompanied by dual-fuel marine water tube boilers, also manufactured by Kawasaki. This dual-fuel capability provides the flexibility to switch fuel sources as needed, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing emissions.
Classed under both KR and ABS, the vessel adheres to stringent international standards for safety, reliability, and environmental compliance. It boasts a substantial DWT of 75,249 MT, a GRT of 92,927, and an NRT of 27,878, providing ample cargo space for LNG transport. Its design draft of 11.322m allows for efficient loading and stability while accommodating large volumes.
The carrier’s deck and cargo systems are meticulously designed to handle LNG cargoes effectevely. The cargo tanks capacity totals 138,270.5m³, divided into four main cargo tanks: 24,519.9m³ in No. 1, 39,372.1m³ in No. 2, 39,380.5m³ in No. 3, and 34,998.0m³ in No. 4. to support efficient loading and discharge operations, the carrier is equipped with a main cargo pump system consisting of eight pumps, each with a capacity of 1,700 m³/h. Additional cargo handling equipment includes four spray pumps of 50 m³/h each, an emergency pump of 550 m³/h, and a ballast pump system with three pumps at 3,000 m³/h each, supported by two eductors with 300 m³/h capacity.
She has total capacity of ballast water tanks 54051.4 m3 (@ 100%). For maneuverability and mooring, the vessel is equipped with bow thruster CPP 2,000 kW (rated @ 2,682 hp) and has a comprehensive winch remote control systems. The windlass system operates at 58 tons with a speed of 12m/min, and the mooring winches are rated at 30 tons each, with eight sets running at 15m/min. Anchoring equipment includes 18.8-ton bower anchors with 13 and 14 cables on each side, respectively. The carrier also has winches for hose handling, provisioning, and monorail tasks, supporting reliable handling of deck operations.
In addition, Vessel complies with USCG/ SIRE/ SOLAS/ IMO conventions/ amendments/ protocols and all Certs are up-to-date.
The vessel is not certified for Suez Canal Authorities.
