This IACS classed DP-2 pipe-lay self-propelled barge, flagged P.R. China, is designed for offshore pipelay, subsea construction and accommodation offshore support operations. The vessel has an LPP: of 100 m, molded B: of 26 m, molded D: of 6.5 m, and operates at a transit draft of 2.7 m – 4.7 m. She has a GRT of 7,677 t and NRT of 2,303 t, with LS disp of 8,573 t and LS wt of 6,124 t, increasing to 11,112 t disp at transit draft. Propulsion is provided by 2 × LC8250ZLC-2 M/E, supported by 4 × 1,200 kW gensets, plus auxiliary units of 400 kW and 200 kW, operating on 400 V / 50 Hz. The DP-2 system consists of 2 × 1,765 kW main thrusters, 2 × 800 kW side thrusters, and 1 × 700 kW fwd retractable thruster, enabling a transit spd of 11.2 kn. The vessel offers a free main deck area of approx. 1,280 m² and ballast cap of 1,692.19 m³, with FO cap of 917.36 m³, FW cap of 366 m³, PW cap of 477 m³, and RO FWG rated at 1,058 US gal/ per day. The pipelay system accommodates 4 in – 60 in diameter pipe, fitted with 10 t tensioners, a sheltered firing line with 4 welding sts, 1 NDT st, and 1 coating st, supported by 15 × 400 A welding units. Lifting capability includes a 300 t SWL pedestal revolving crane, auxiliary hooks up to 50 t, and a 30 t stb deck crane. Accommodation is provided for 212 POB, with SOLAS-compliant LSA and FFA, and a bow-mounted helideck rated 8 t, designed to API RP-2L, suitable for Bell 412EP operations.
