This 1,300 t lifting capacity floating dry-dock is built in 2012 and was significantly upgraded in 2024, she was designed and constructed in accordance with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules for Building and Classing Steel Floating Dry-docks. The dock measures 39.6 m in LOA, with an overall beam of 24.4 m and a clear width of 21.3 m between the wingwalls. The barge depth is 1.8 m, and the wingwalls stand 5.84 m high and 1.52 m wide. Maximum submersion over the deck is 5.18 m, while over the keel blocks it reaches 4.27 m. The dock accommodates vessels with up to 7.62 m of overhang at both bow and stern. Submerge and refloat times are approximately 25 min each.
The drydock consists of ten watertight compartments: eight measuring 7.62 m x 12.2 m and two at 9.14 m x 12.2 m. Each compartment is equipped with a 152 mm x 152 mm submersible Barmesa pump, each delivering 8,140 LPM, driven by 20 HP, 440 VAC motors at 1,750 RPM. All submersable pumps discharge directly onto the deck through sump-connected suctions. Flooding is facilitated by ten manually operated 152 mm knife valves accessible from both port and starboard wingwall control decks. These valves are connected to seachests located at the lightship waterline and protected by external gratings.
The dock is fitted with fourteen 0.91 m high center-mounted keel blocks, including nine double keel blocks for optimal hull support, as well as two sliding side blocks for vessel positioning. Safety is prioritized through 914 mm tall handrails fabricated from 32 mm sch. 40 steel pipe, installed with three horizontal rails around the perimeter and safety chains as needed. Access is provided via inclined stairs on the aft port and starboard sides and vertical ladders with safety cages on the forward wingwalls.
Ventilation is achieved through 152 mm vent pipes leading from each compartment and wingwall to the upper deck, capped with 180° turndowns. The electrical system runs on 440 VAC, 60 Hz, 3-phase service and includes two distribution panels housed within the control house. Pump controls consist of independent start/ stop buttons on the central console. A 208/ 440 VAC stepdown transformer supports lower-voltage operations, and multiple general-service outlets are provided inside the control space.
Lighting consists of five LED floodlights mounted on adjustable 51 mm vertical pipes along each wingwall, allowing focused illumination on the vessel or working areas. Mooring and handling equipment includes ten 25 t winches—five LR-250s on the port side and five RR-250s on the starboard side—each outfitted with 19 mm galvanized cable and 16 mm x 457 mm tail chains with hooks.
Deck fittings include D-rings, kevel chocks, and tie-down rings distributed across the wingwall deck for vessel securing. Fendering systems, comprising heavy-duty steel pipes, are located on the bow and inside faces to prevent contact damage during docking. Draft markings are painted in 152 mm tall numerals on both aft and inboard wingwall surfaces.
Structural scantlings include 9.5 mm steel plating on the barge deck, bottom, sides, and headlogs. A 12.7 mm center doubler plate is fitted beneath the keel blocks, with 9.5 mm plating also used for both watertight and non-tight bulkheads as well as wingwall construction.
The drydock is secured in position via two 610 mm x 12.7 mm vertical guide pipes filled with concrete and fitted with sliding saddles, allowing the dock to float freely in place. Two auxiliary floating work barges, each measuring 7.32 m x 4.88 m x 1.22 m, are positioned aft and can be shifted port or starboard to allow stern access once a vessel is docked.
