The TRITON XLS 150 HP Ultra Heavy Duty Work Class ROV is a robust, high-performance subsea vehicle designed for demanding operations such as heavy construction support, wind farm construction, WTG/ OSS inspection and maintenance, and subsea intervention. Powered by a 150 HP standard XLS power pack, this ROV offers an optional ‘Dirty Work Pack’ that enhances power and adds isolated hydraulic circuits for more challenging tasks. With a payload capacity of 250 kg, the ROV is equipped to handle a variety of tools and equipment for complex subsea tasks.
The ROV is rated for depths of up to 3000 m, offering high maneuverability with 4 Sub Atlantic horizontal thrusters and 4 15” Sub Atlantic vertical thrusters. Its bollard pull is 1050 kgf forward and laterally, allowing for effective handling in dynamic subsea environments. With a forward and lateral speed of up to 3 knots, the ROV ensures efficient performance in subsea operational including inspection/ surveying tasks.
For precise operations, the vehicle features auto heading, auto depth, and auto altitude control, with Schilling 7-and 5-function manipulators providing enhanced dexterity. Video transmission is managed via fiber optic through the umbilical, ensuring clear, real-time visual feedback during operations.
The ROV can be deployed using an A-Frame launched Garage TMS or crane-launched free-swimming TMS, with a tether length ranging from 400-600 m, depending on tether size. The top hat dimensions are 2.18 m in height and 2.0 m in diameter, with a weight of 3500 kg.
For deployment and control, the system is housed in a DNV compliant A-60 control cabin, which measures 6.00 m x 2.50 m x 2.90 m and weighs 12000 kg. The system requires a 690A, 3-phase, 440 VAC 50/60 Hz power supply. The A-Frame LARS, stowed at 8.0 m x 2.9 m x 3.5 m and weighing 15,000 kg, provides reliable launch and recovery support, with an outreach of 5 meters.
The system also includes a winch with an umbilical length of 2,300 m and dimensions of 2.9 m x 2.9 m x 2.0 m, weighing 28,000 kg. Additional equipment includes a DNV compliant stores cabin (6.00 m x 2.50 m x 2.90 m, 10,000 kg) and a power pack weighing 5,000 kg, measuring 1.8 m x 2.9 m x 3.7 m. The total power requirement for the system is 440V AC, 60Hz, 63A supply.
This ROV is ideal for ultra-heavy duty subsea scopes of work, ensuring high performance, reliability, and versatility across various offshore scientific and oil & gas subsea applications.
